We are still looking for speakers and sponsors, and we need help discovering new speakers and sponsors, and recruiting them to be a part of this year's conference.
We are currently looking for an intern to manage the 2013 Art Show. We will be hosting the show in the University of Houston College of Architecture Art Gallery, and we would like to feature motion graphics and interactive pieces. Please fill out the volunteer form and indicate that you would like to help put together the art show.
We need your help spreading the word on various social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. We would also love to have you write guest posts on the 3DCAMP Houston blog.
We are hosting a 3D design competition, where users can submit their own 3D model designs, and the winner will receive a free 3D printed version of their model. This volunteer position will help coordinate the competition, accept entries, coordinate the judging, and work with the 3D printer sponsors to get a print made before 3DCAMP Houston 2013.
We are hosting a VIP party the Friday before 3DCAMP, as well as a happy hour after the event has wrapped up. Let us know if you're interested in helping us plan these gatherings.
In addition to social media outreach, we are looking for 3D professionals and hobbyists to publish on our blog. Your posts will be shared through our Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles, featured on the front page of our website, and your name will be credited as the author of the post, of course.
On the day of the event, these volunteers will help check people in, give out nametags, raffle tickets, goodie bags and printed agendas, and help direct people to the right sessions.
These volunteers will help throughout the weekend with various logistical tasks such as setting up tables, chairs, power cords, hanging signs, checking A/V equipment, etc. Volunteers will sign up for shifts throughout the weekend as you are available.
We will likely need a few volunteers outside to help attendees find a good place to park during the event. These volunteers will also be responsible for setting out signs that direct cars to the proper parking spaces.
These volunteers will be present in each room at the conference to make sure the presenter has everything they need, including projector cables, adapters, power cords, water, etc.
The Art Show Director will coordinate a group of volunteers to help accept submissions to the show in the weeks leading up to the event, as well as transport the pieces to and from the UH Architecture Gallery space. These volunteers will also be responsible for setup and teardown of the show.
