    Nathan Eror

    Nathan Eror

    Nathan Eror is the founder of iPhone game studio Free Time Studios. He has been building iPhone apps since the initial release of the SDK and has nearly 10 years of experience developing software. In that time he has worked on PlayStation2 and GameCube tools at Metrowerks, the customer portal at Rackspace, GIS visualization toolkits at INT, as well as his fair share of “enterprise” software at JPMorganChase. Most recently, he co-founded the web 2.0 photo sharing site http://www.natuba.com/. Nathan lives in Houston, TX where he feels awkward talking about himself in the third person.*Nathan was featured in our August 12th 3DCAMP Newsletter

    Charles McFarland and Mary Cole

    Charles McFarland

    Charles is the Global Program Manager for Collaborative Work Environments at Halliburton. He has has been in the oil & gas industry for over 35 years. Ten years with Gulf Oil prior to the Chevron merger was spent developing operations support systems in refining and in the international upstream E&P division. After leaving Gulf, he entered the technology side of the oil and gas industry, leading up to a position at Landmark Graphics. During his time at Landmark, he has been involved with several major projects as well as participating in acquisitions. He has developed a global team at Halliburton responsible for designing and delivering new ways of working that help customers achieve new levels of productivity and operating results. He has also managed the design and delivery of new visualization, collaboration and real time center projects all over the world, all the while focusing on process change management that can help customers achieve better operating results.

    Mary Cole

    Mary Cole is the Product Manager for Visualization Technologies at Landmark Software and Services, a division of Halliburton. She has worked in the defense, medical imaging and energy industries. During her ten years with ARCO Oil&Gas, Mary developed software for real-time fracture monitoring, 3D seismic data visualization and immersive interpretation. She supervised the construction of and co-wrote the software for ARCO’s first and second generation immersive visualization systems. Mary joined Halliburton as a GeoProbe® software developer and has served as a product architect on both the GeoProbe® and DecisionSpace® desktop teams. In her current role she has responsibility for GeoProbe® and the visualization components of DecisionSpace® Desktop.

    Bridgette Mongeon

    Bridgette Mongeon

    Bridgette is the owner of B. Mongeon Sculpture Design Studios.   A Sculptor of nearly 30 years she embraces the new technology that she now uses in her own work flow. She is the coauthor of Digital Sculpting In Mudbox Essential Tools and Techniques for Artists and is presently working on a second book about fine art and technology, a book of inspiration showing the artist’s processes as well as a  needed source book for artists who want to explore the technology in their own studios. She received her BA at Vermont College and her MFA-IA at Goddard College with a  dual focus, Digital Technology in the Traditional Art Studio and writing.  She is also the host of several podcasts including The Art and Technology Podcast*Bridgette was featured in our August 21st 3DCAMP Newsletter

    Douglas Smith

    Douglas Smith is a founding principal of SmartMultiMedia, the parent company of SmartGeoMetrics. SmartGeoMetrics provides 3D imaging support services locally and globally. The company is an Authorized Leica HDS Dealer. Douglas graduated from Loyola University, New Orleans with a BA in Public Relations. Prior to founding SmartMultiMedia in 2006, he taught English in Japan and managed youth education programs in various museums and zoos.

    Sameer Vachani

    Sameer Vachani

    A business executive at 3D Systems, Inc., Sameer Vachani currently serves as the company’s Vice President of Business and Corporate Development. Leveraging a decade of experience with 3D Systems and its subsidiary, Quickparts.com, Inc., Sameer possesses in-depth knowledge of the company’s on-demand custom parts services, 3D content-to-print solutions, and rapid prototyping abilities. Since he accepted his new position in May 2011, Sameer has played an integral role in improving the company’s profitability, researching expansion opportunities, and integrating several recent North American acquisitions.

    Johannes Huber

    Johannes Huber?

    Johannes Huber has worked in the entertainment industry as an artist since 1995. His art credits include games such as Starfleet Command 1 and 2, James Bond: Agent under Fire, and Mechwarrior Commander as well as films like RV, My Ex-Super Girlfriend, Rocky 6 and Seraphim Falls and worked with published authors on creature design and book covers. His other work includes clients such as Nalco and, Introgen Therapeutics, Inc, and other pharmaceutical companies focused on cancer treatment. He is an alumni of the Gnomon School of VFX high-end CG program and teaches illustration, Sculpting Human Anatomy and Autodesk Maya for the Houston Community College System. *Johannes was featured in our August 12th 3DCAMP Newsletter

    Jorge Tiscareno

    Jorge Tiscareno

    Jorge, a Senior Designer at SHWGROUP, has been a CG Artist/Manager and Architectural Designer for the past 16 years. He has won several AIA Design awards while working in several Architectural firms and won the prestigious Gene Watanabe Award in Gensler for excellence in Design Visualization; at Gensler he was the Director of Design Visualization overlooking local, regional and firmwide Digital Design issues. Jorge is a well known fixture in the Design Visualization community, where he has been a speaker at several major conferences such as Autodesk University, Texas Society of Architects and VisMasters; he was also a judge for the 2010 CGArchitect.com Architectural 3D Awards.     Bryan Guzman

    Bryan Guzman

    Bryan Guzman was born in Corpus Christi Texas where he attended Texas A&M Corpus Christi until 2006. In 2007 he joined the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he studied and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Geology. His first work experience was as a Geo-tech for Balcones Energy Library where he worked under independent exploration geologists developing well prospects. He began working as a Geologist for Ingrain Inc. in 2008. Since then, he has developed an expertise in geologic interpretation of rock cores extracted from Oil and Gas wells from around the globe using CT and SEM imaging. Currently, Bryan works closely with the Ingrain development team optimizing current product offerings, and developing new ones.

    Chris Norman

    Chris Norman

    Chris Norman started in web development in 1996 when he founded Web Page Technologies while attending college. After graduating, Mr. Norman began a career in manufacturing & technology at Dell and Applied Materials as well as several other fortune 500 companies. Throughout his career, Chris maintained a love for web technologies.

    In 2006 Mr. Norman founded Digital Reality, Inc to create Digital Factory, the worlds first and only B2B & B2C Mass-Customization system for 3D printing. In 2011, Chris Co-Founded Kraftwurx along with Kevin Hasley to show what Digital Factory can do.

    Mr. Norman currently serves as CEO of both Kraftwurx and Digital Reality. He is a member of the Direct Digital Manufacturing sub-committee to the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and 16 year member of SME. Mr. Norman earned his MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix and a BS in Manufacturing Engineering from Texas A&M University.

    Larry S. Evans II

    Larry S. Evans

    Larry Evans is a classically trained painter who began working with digital imaging in the late 1980s. He expanded into digital 3D in the middle 1990s as 3D software applications began to become affordable for individual use.

    He has been involved with a number of user groups, forums, and professional organizations  related to creative software, including the Adobe Creative Suite Ambassadors and SmithMicro Poser Ambassadors. For the last 10 years he has been associated with the online Poser community RuntimeDNA, where he pioneered the Art Talk forum – aimed at introducing classical art critique and discussion into the nascent Poser art environment.

    Evans has worked in Europe, the Middle East, and the US as a digital imaging and printing consultant, and produces animation, design, and video for private and corporate clients. He continues to work in traditional media and methods along with and combined with digital tools. In addition to painting, he works with photography and videography, sculpture and construction, and much of his work feeds back into his interests in short films and cartoons.

    He is proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Premiere, After Effects, and Audition; SmithMicro Poser and Poser Pro; E-On Software Vue;  DAZ Bryce, Hexagon, and Studio; and NewTek Lightwave. *Larry was featured in our August 21st 3DCAMP Newsletter

    Steven Ramirez

    Steven Ramirez

    Steven Ramirez is the owner of Smash Design a Hollywood prop and set fabrication company. Steven first realized the need for new 3d fabrication methods while he worked on Hollywood movies sets for Film Director Robert Rodriguez at the world renowned studio Trouble Maker Studios there Steven discovered the need for 3d CNC machines which opened up new doors in the set construction world. But it wasn’t until working directly for ex-NASA Senior Robotics Engineer Chris Lovchik that his knowledge of 3d cnc all came together. Steven worked as an industrial designer for Lovchik’s tech company that fabricated the famous Carvewright cnc machine.

    Steven’s company Smash Design has since constructed numerous large scale projects for clients such as NASA, Saks 5th Avenue, Versace, Maersk, Cosentino, TLC, Warner Brothers, and NBC TV’s Extreme Home Makeover Edition. He uses large CNC’s to carve and create his 3d computer drafted models and themed environments and polishes them with old world sculpting and finishing techniques.

    Mike de la Flor

    Mike de la Flor is a freelance medical illustrator, animator, instructor and writer. He’s the author of The Digital Biomedical Illustration Handbook and other CG books and articles.Mike has also been an adjunct instructor of computer graphics at Kingwood College. *Mike was featured in our August 12th 3DCAMP Newsletter

    Alejandro Iriarte

    Alejandro Iriarte

    Alejandro Iriarte completed his professional degree in Architecture at the Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala, where he was born. He moved to Houston in 1999 to work as an Architectural Intern for WHR Architects. In 2008 he earned a Master of Architecture degree with a specialization in Health Systems and Design at Texas A&M University. He returned to WHR Architects, where he continues to practice as an Associate Medical Planner, designer, and team leader in projects ranging from 10,000 to 1.2 million square feet.

    Over the past 13 years working with mission-driven healthcare organizations, Alejandro has learned the value of clear communication and collaborative multidisciplinary teams. He continues to foster the integration of technology, creativity, and experience towards the delivery of successful multi-million dollar projects. Using Building Information Modeling enables him to develop real-time program tracking, exceptional client interaction, and digital visualization.

    In his spare time, Alejandro uses new technologies to design products, art and furniture.

    Jeffrey L Cooper

    Jeffrey L. Cooper

    Jeffrey L Cooper is an experienced 3D photographer, author, and founder of Stock3DPhotos.com. He’s got over 25 years of experience in 3D photography and in 2012 published The 3D Photography Book, available on Amazon. His personal website is one of the top hits in Google for 3D Photography, and he runs a very active 3D Forum for hobbyists with over 1000 members that actively exchange ideas and concepts. In 2011, Stock3dphotos.com was launched with his partners to commercialize 3D aimed at the stock photography industry and provide 3D services and consulting to an emerging industry. *Jeffrey was featured in our August 29th 3DCAMP Newsletter

    Sean Bellinger

    Sean Bellinger

    Sean is a 3D artist, game developer, educator, and photographer living just outside of Houston, TX. http://seanbellinger.carbonmade.com/  Currently, he works full time for Bullfighter Design, LLC in Houston, TX. where he gets to create visually compelling 3D art & animation for interactive media and entertainment/serious games. Sean is also an adjunct instructor for the Lone Star College system. He has taught at locations in Houston, TX, Tomball, TX, and Kingwood, TX teaching game design & simulation, 3D animation, modeling & rendering, digital imaging, and digital illustration using Unreal Technology, Unity3D, Autodesk products, and Adobe products

    In addition, Sean works as a 3D artist, animator, and level designer for Revelation Interactive, an independent game development company he helped found. Revelation Interactive just completed work on a children’s game for the Jim Henson Company based on the Sid The Science Kid characters. The game will be released on the Android platform.Lastly, Sean is working as a 3D/VFX artist on an independent feature film shot in Houston.
