You may recognize the name as the Vice Chairwoman of 3DCAMP Houston, or the name of the speaker on the topic at 3DCAMP titled: Copyrights, Ethics and Responsibilities of 3D well Bridgette Mongeon is also in the 3DCAMP Art Show. Bridgette will be featuring the clay head of her 15 foot tiger recently sculpted for Grambling State University. This makes for a great photo opportunity.
Bridgette is the owner of B. Mongeon Sculpture Design Studios. A Sculptor of nearly 30 years she embraces the new technology that she now uses in her own work flow. She uses Zbrush, Mudbox, Poser, and enlarges her works using CNC milling. She also embraces rapid prototyping. She is the coauthor of Digital Sculpting In Mudbox Essential Tools and Techniques for Artists and is presently working on a second book about fine art and technology. This new book is one of inspiration showing the artwork of other artists who combine digital and traditional work. It will also be a how-to and source book for other artists wanting to combing traditional and digital methods.
She received her BA at Vermont College and her MFA-IA at Goddard College with a dual focus, Digital Technology in the Traditional Art Studio and writing. She is also the host of several podcasts including The Art and Technology Podcast.
